Desertwood's L.V. Mr. Bojangles MX MXJ CGC FDCH
Great Dane
Owners: Zee Marie & Max Moss
Handler: Zee Marie
At the time we started training with MaryKay, we had 2-1/2 years of solid obedience and agility training we brought with us. We've been blessed to learn from some of the best trainers available and when you are as passionate (or is addicted the more accurate word) as Mr. B and I are about dog sports, you continually search for more.
Soon after MaryKay moved to Vegas, I saw her at trials with her border collies. What impressed me the most besides her handling techniques was her positive, upbeat attitude. If she had an icky run, you wouldn't know it by the way she celebrated with her dogs afterwards. One of my personal challenges has been my attitude and I felt I could learn from her without her being judgemental of me - more supportive if you know what I mean.
I was also interested in regular weekly training with an active handler/trainer with long striding dogs. Handling Mr. B on an agility course is a blessing beyond what I can express, and doing this with a giant breed that weighs more than I do, stands as tall as I am and is enthusiastic as any driven breed has some unique challenges and considerations. I believe MaryKay's vast experience, varied animal-focused education and sincere desire to learn and grow with her students, has given us the type of training that makes us grow and realize techniques only dreamed of.
Mr. B and I are journeying toward the AKC MACH title and now learning and enjoying USDAA events. Every week we look forward to training with MaryKay and improving our skills both personally and physically. It is nothing short of a blessing to be training with her and we look forward to every learning moment of it.
