In order to offset the increasing operating costs to run SmartyPaws, it has become necessary to (starting July 12th) charge a 3.5% fee for all credit and debit cards used to pay for classes and Doggie Day Care and Boot Camp. However, if you wish to pay by cash, check or Zelle, there are NO fees associated with those forms of payments. The email that you will use to pay by Zelle will be smartypawslv@gmail.com.

Our Cancelation Policy: You must cancel at least 72 hours in advance before the class starts. We may give you credit for a future class, but if you cancel with less than 72 hours notice, there will be no refunds, because you have taken a spot in a class that other people are waiting to enroll in.

Obedience

All Obedience Classes are $250.00 for 6 weeks of class.

Obedience Series ~ for dogs six months and older ~ Levels:
• Basic Obedience
• Obedience Level #2
• Obedience Level #3
• Competition Obedience

BASIC OBEDIENCE – dogs 6 months and older – This class offers education for the older dog, who can now focus for longer periods of time and who also may be showing some adolescent tendencies that need to be addressed. Dogs will learn sit, down, stay, come and leave it. Walking on a leash without pulling, and distance is added to all stays and recalls. Discussion includes socializing, spay/neuter, jumping, destructiveness, handling, feeding, barking etc. as well as individual problem areas.

KINDERPUPPY – dogs 6 months and younger – Similar to Basic Obedience Class, class also address puppy behaviors and socialization.

INTERMEDIATE OBEDIENCE – dogs that have complete Basic Obedience – Hand signals, working with distractions, about turns and automatic sits when you stop are just a few of the topics to be covered. Builds on obedience/behaviors learned in Basic Obedience.

COMPETITION OBEDIENCE – with permission from instructor – is taught in class session and can also be scheduled as private lessons.

You will have written homework of items covered in each weekly session.

FIRST DAY OF CLASS:

• Puppies and dogs must have proof of current vaccinations or titers as well as a negative fecal test that is at least 6 months recent.
• Do not bring dogs on extendable/retractable leashes.
• Bring small bite treats that your dog loves!
