How It All Began
I have been involved with dogs since I was four years old. While growing up in a military family, I had mostly mixed breeds, but also a few miniature Schnauzers. I was always teaching them tricks and grooming them. As a teenager, I also owned horses and was an avid Hunter-Jumper competitor.
Somehow I brought that home and had my mixed-breed at the time, Fuzz, running obstacle courses in my parents back yard. Little did I know this would become a strong passion in my life leading to sharing my skills with many other dogs and dog owners at my training center in Northwest Las Vegas.
My goal in all dog training, and even behavior modification, is that the dog’s emotional and physical needs are met through the training program in a positive and fun manner. I wish my dogs to perform and behave as they do because they choose to, not because they are afraid of the painful consequences.
While continuing to pursue herding, obedience, flyball, Frisbee and agility, I keep a focus on problem behavior and how to make all training positive in the many venues that I love.
There is always more to learn, and more to share with my dogs, your dogs and you. So take a look around this website and enjoy. I invite you to join me in a positive training experience in a fun environment.
