In order to offset the increasing operating costs to run SmartyPaws, it has become necessary to (starting July 12th) charge a 3.5% fee for all credit and debit cards used to pay for classes and Doggie Day Care and Boot Camp. However, if you wish to pay by cash, check or Zelle, there are NO fees associated with those forms of payments. The email that you will use to pay by Zelle will be smartypawslv@gmail.com.

Our Cancelation Policy: You must cancel at least 72 hours in advance before the class starts. We may give you credit for a future class, but if you cancel with less than 72 hours notice, there will be no refunds, because you have taken a spot in a class that other people are waiting to enroll in.

Does your dog or puppy like to sniff things out?

Dogs love using their noses! They have a sense of smell that far surpasses ours. Barn Hunt is a sport that is quickly growing in popularity and not terribly physically demanding for us humans. It was created to let our dogs use their sense of smell in an enclosed, safe environment. It is a team sport where the dog gets to sniff out a rat (safely housed in a large pvc tube) hidden in straw. The dogs also get to jump on the straw bales and go through tunnels we create with them. And to make all this fun stuff even better, you and your dog can earn titles at Barn Hunt trials.

All the rats are housed safely in tubes, are raised with the trainer around dogs, are well cared for and are not harmed during the event.

If you want to try something a bit different with your furry pal, this might be just the class for you!
