“I have been involved in dogs since I was four years old. While growing up in a military family, I had mostly mixed breeds, but also a few miniature Schnauzers. I was always teaching them tricks and grooming them. As a teenager, I also owned horses and was an avid Hunter-Jumper competitor.”

“I met my first Border collie when I was 15 and working at a large training facility in the Chicago suburbs. I was instantly attracted by the intensity of the breed and owned my first BC, Wilma, later that year.”

“While attending Veterinary Technician school in North Carolina, I continued to train mixed breeds and another Border Collie. I then became involved in the sport of obedience and also discovered herding.”

“After working as a licensed Veterinary Technician in private practices for the next 11 years, I began working in Behavior Modification with Responsible Pet Ownership Inc. of Crestview Florida.”
